Description

The Nürburgring is a race track in Nürburg, in the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate. On September 27, 1925, the construction of the circuit began around the village and medieval castle of Nürburg in the Eifel. The opening was on the weekend of the 18th and 19th of June 1927. The circuit was nicknamed "The Green Hell". In the past, the track led the riders over 28 km. It then consisted of the Nordschleife (22.8 km) and Südschleife (7.7 km), along 173 bends (89 left and 84 right). The circuit was built as part of an employment project to boost the economy in the Eifel region. The track became one of the most famous race tracks in the world. But since the famous Austrian Formula 1 driver Niki Lauda made a serious (almost fatal) crash there in 1976, just before the Bergwerk bend, the circuit is no longer used for Formula 1 races. - Fairtrade certified organic cotton - GOTS certified product - Combed organic cotton - Fleece with brushed reverse side - Double lined hood
